Morgan Suggests the "Guardian of State Sovereignty" Stop Shooting Pigs from Helicopters in Texas and Start Focusing on His Job in Kansas
New evidence today that Kris Kobach is living in a bizarro world detached from the reality of being Kansas Secretary of State from Republican challenger Scott Morgan: former rocker Ted Nugent's Facebook posting of June 4th raising money for Kobach.
Nugent's post calls on his supporters to help Kobach who Nugent describes as a "backstrap BloodBrother who's a dear pig killin friend of mine." Nugent also describes Kobach as being helpful in his efforts to legalize shooting pigs from helicopters in Texas.
"The self-appointed Guardian of State Sovereignty needs to stop shooting pigs from helicopters in Texas with Ted Nugent and start focusing on his job in Kansas," Morgan said. "In what parallel universe does this happen that you have Ted Nugent say 'Here's a picture of us hunting hogs together in Texas just before we rallied to legalize helicopter pig hunting! Yes, Kris & I did that!!'?"
Morgan said it was further evidence that Kobach doesn't want the job of Secretary of State. "Did Kobach really spend even five seconds helping legalize helicopter pig hunting in Texas?" Morgan asked. "Kobach claims, in his words, that he is the 'Guardian of State Sovereignty' in his free time. It would seem that the duties of 'Guardian' include the right to shoot stuff from helicopters in Texas with Ted Nugent."
Morgan recognizes that invasive feral hogs are extremely destructive but does not believe that problem lies within the duties of the Kansas Secretary of State. Morgan again called on his fellow Republicans to support him in his efforts to return the Secretary of State's office to its tradition of quiet competence. He noted that no prior Secretary of State had been called the "dear pig killin friend" of Ted Nugent.
